Pneumonia is the third leading cause of death in Singapore, claiming over 4,000 lives each year. Fortunately, pneumonia vaccines provide significant defenses against pneumonia. Yet, less than 10% of Singaporeans (above the age of 65) have taken them.
One of the key reasons is accessibility: “Where do I sign up for vaccines? Do I go to a GP or polyclinic? Can I get an appointment?”
HAS is the pilot Government initiative to encourage Singaporeans to take recommended vaccines. The National Adult Immunisation Schedule (NAIS) recommends taking these vaccinations.
Our goal is to increase adult vaccination rates by making them easy to book. HAS makes it easy to book vaccinations at nearby CHAS clinics.
HAS also allows clinics to quickly make slots available to the general public. This facilitates a large volume of appointments in a smooth, hassle-free way.
657 clinics enrolled (1 in 2 CHAS clinics)
Close to 500 appointments created
Close to 200 vaccinations actualised
